Day 1: Arrival – Cairo

We arrive in the land of the Pharaohs, Jacob, Joseph and Israel during the famine. Upon arrival Cairo Airport, our Royal Way representative will meet and assist you crossing the customs hall, then transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight.

Day 2: Cairo sightseeing

We begin our touring today with some sights of ancient Egypt - some of which date back to 1000+ years prior to Abraham. Visit the impressive 3 Pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure which are guarded by the rock-cut statue (The Sphinx) a large half-human, half-lion statue. The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is the only standing wonder from the ancient world, although it is 2,000 years older than any other wonder on the list.

Then you will proceed to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from Pre-dynastic era, Pharonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess, with option visit to the mummies room at the Egyptian Museum where you may learn about the Great Egyptian civilization and the mummification art in ancient Egypt.

Back to hotel, overnight Cairo.

Day 3: Marah, Amalekites, Mt. Moses

After Breakfast, we cross the Red Sea and enter the wilderness. We traverse the desert till we get to Elim the place of the twelve springs. After taking some spiritual water, we gather enough energy to go deeper into the desert up to Sin, (Exodus 16), the scene of Manna & Quail. Our next stop is Rephidim, where the Israelites fought the Amalekites. Whenever Moses put his arms up the Israelites won, and whenever he put his hands down, the Israelites lost.

Drive to St Catherine where you will check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight at St Catherine.

Day 4: Saint Catherine – Taba

Early in the morning start the climb of Mt. Sinai where the Ten Commandments were revealed. After such a wonderful mountain trip and a magnificent view, we start our journey descending. On this day, we visit sites in St. Catherine which is the place where Moses climbed up the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments. In the same area, there is the famous Greek Orthodox Monastery which is built around the Burning Bush and the well where Moses met his wife Zebura (daughter of Jethro, the priest of Median). We will also visit the place where the Israelites camped when Moses went to receive the Ten Commandments.

Then proceed to Taba. Overnight from Taba hotel.

Day 5: Dead Sea – Qumran

Start off the morning very early with crossing the border to Israel. Meet your Israeli tour guide. Start the day with a visit to Kibbutz Yotvataa here you can see how ideology, perfect organization, hard work and faith can turn the desert to a productive land. Drive to the Dead Sea; the lowest sea on earth. You will have time to deep and float in these special heavy waters then we pass by the site of Qumran where dead-sea scrolls were found. Drive to the Ancient City of Jericho. Jericho is the oldest inhabited city in the world. A flourishing oasis in the Judean Desert and the first city conquered by Joshua in the Promised Land. Enter the city and stop by the old Sycamore tree, believed to be the tree on which Zacchaeus climbed to see Jesus. View Mt. of Temptation. Overnight Bethlehem.

Day 6: Jerusalem

Begin the tour in Jerusalem with a majestic view from the Mount of Olives over all of ancient and modern Jerusalem, the centre of the biblical world. Visit the Chapel of the Ascension, the Pater Noster where Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer. You will see the Lord’s Prayer in different languages including Aramaic the language that Jesus spoke and Kiswahili too.

Visit the Church of Dominius Flevit – where Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem then walk down the “Palm Sunday Road” to the Garden of Gethsemane where he prayed the Prayer of Agony and was betrayed by Judas. Visit the Church of All Nations where Christ prayed on the night of his betrayal (Luke 22: 40-46). Next, drive on the across the Kidron valley to Mt. Zion and visit the church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (Palace of Caiaphas). The upper room where Jesus had his last supper with the disciples and where the Holy Spirit descended on them and they started speaking in tongues and the Domination Abbey.

Afternoon drives to Bethlehem the city of David, to visit the birth place of Jesus marked by the church of Nativity. Kneel at the place of birth of Christ in the Grotto of the Nativity. Visit the shepherd’s field and stop for a panoramic view of the Judean Desert and the distant mountains of Moab. 

Day 7: Jerusalem

Today is a walking Tour Day within the walls of the old city of Jerusalem. View on the Temple area with the Dome of the Rock, the Mosque of El-Aksa and visit the western wall considered the most sacred site by the Jewish people. proceed to the pools of Bethseda where Jesus healed the man who had been crippled for 38 years (John 2: 2-9) visit the well-preserved crusader church of St. Anne where there is an opportunity to sing a hymn before walking along the via Dolorosa (way of the cross) following the stations of the cross from Pilates Judgment Hall to the church of the Holy Sepulcher. Afternoon visit the Garden Tomb.

Day 8: Cana – Nazareth

After breakfast. Drive to Mt. Carmel, to visit the Muhraka monastery. Enjoy the beautiful view of Bahai Gardens. Proceed to Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the church of St. Joseph with the home of the Holy Family. Drive on via Cana in Galilee where Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding feast.

Day 9: Sea of Galilee

Today is a full day around the Sea of Galilee. This area is rich in memories of the three years of Jesus’ Ministry around its shores. Begin this day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee from Tiberius to Capernaum, where Jesus dwelt after he left Nazareth and did many signs and wonders. Visit the ancient Synagogue and the nearby house of Peter. Next, visit the chapel of loaves and fishes at Tabgha as well as the nearby Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount (Mathew 5). Our final stop will be at Yardenit the baptismal site on river Jordan.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast early breakfast drive to Ben Gurion airport for your flight back home.
